HUD REAC Inspections
Staff
members of The Inspection Group have been subcontractors for the
national REAC contractors of Building Inspection Service (BISCO), MTB
and Insurance Services Office, (ISO). REAC inspection experience includes
work performed under all three of the HUD REAC programs, the MOBIS (REAC
Pilot Program), National Inspection Contract (NIC), and Baseline Inspection
Contract (BIC). Our REAC inspection work has taken us to locations throughout
the mid-west and southeastern states, including large public housing authorities
of New York City, Boston and Cleveland to mention a few. Various properties
include inspecting public housing, Section 8 project based, home-ownership,
and HUD/FHA insured and assisted multifamily, elderly, and group home
properties.
UPCS Annual Inspections
Annual inspections
performed to the Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS) have been
a large part of The Inspection Group’s success in preparing PHAs
for upcoming REAC inspections. We have performed annual inspections for

UPCS Training Classes
The
Inspection Group’s UPCS Training class provides
for a focused three-hour to two-day class in which the UPCS and REAC process
are presented in a useful and understandable format. See our Training

REAC Consulting
Preparing organizations for upcoming REAC inspections has been an effective
tool in training and directing various maintenance personnel in prioritizing
time to most impact REAC PASS scores. Our presence during the actual REAC
inspection provides for an expert advocate representing our Client’s best
interest. Our familiarity with REAC inspections helps to expedite the
whole process while making sure that the REAC inspector receives the proper
information and is not over-inspecting. All of The Inspection Group’s
clients have seen significant PASS score improvements and some have achieved
HUD’s High Performer status due to our help. While many of our UPCS
Annual Inspection Clients request this service, others have contracted
